Consultation period: 3 September to 16 September 2025
We seek views on the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s (ACCC) proposed waiver form under the new merger system.
Mergers that meet the thresholds must notify the ACCC.
Businesses can apply to the ACCC for a notification waiver. The waiver process is a simple, fast and low-cost process.
Businesses do not need to notify the merger if the ACCC gives a waiver. Businesses will need to fill in the waiver form to apply to the ACCC for a waiver.
Your feedback will help finalise the waiver form.
