Draft ministerial rules

The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman Act 2015 (the Act) will come into operation on 11 March 2016. Under the Act, the Minister for Small Business may make rules to ensure the efficient operation of the Ombudsman’s office.

Draft rules prescribing various operational matters – in particular, the bodies to be recognised as agencies and receive confidential information under the Act – have been prepared and Treasury is now seeking comments.
